The media has an enormous appetite for NEWS and your local media is always interested in stories that revolve around people. If you have an employee taking part in a charity event or receiving an industry award, send out a press realease. If you have a new product or are moving to a new location let your local press know.
The basic press release should answer the main questions of WHO? WHAT? WHY? WHERE? WHEN.Send in a photo as a picture tells a thousand words.
Keep any press releases short and write in the third person and write objectively.
